About Us
Sky Meadows State Park is a working farm that offers visitors the opportunity to peacefully enjoy a historic Piedmont farm and natural area on the slopes of the Blue Ridge and Lost mountains while continuing the agricultural uses of a portion of its open land. The historic vegetable garden at Sky Meadows is cultivated and tended by volunteers. Proceeds from the garden benefit the Friends of Sky Meadows. Pumpkins and winter cooking squash for sale from the end of September through October and into November. Pick-your-own pumpkin patch open during Fall Farm Days on October weekends. Seasonal garden produce and other items available for sale April through October from our Friends of Sky Meadows Farmer's Market (dependent on volunteer availability) or inside the Visitor Center. Farm fresh eggs from our flock of free-range Barred Plymouth Rock hens are for sale year-round.
