"As a Service Connected Disabled Veteran US Army Sgt. of Operation Iraqi Freedom III and 10 year Law Enforcement Veteran, I found myself on an unexpected career change. Returning to my childhood roots of cattle farming in Louisiana has always been in the back of my mind. I recall all the happy years helping my grandfather, and father Charles Ellis with their cattle herds. I learned so many things from these 2 great men, but most of all I learned the importance of hard work, determination, adaptability, all while enjoying being outside in nature among the animals.
That childhood connection is what brought me back to a better sense of well-being, and the desire to share that with our Nations Heroes.

Strickland Wagyu strives to create a completely autonomous intensive grass grazed Wagyu Seedstock(breeding) Operation that focuses heavily on the improving the health and overall quality of Fullblood Wagyu Bulls for sales of live animals, and\or genetic material ie. Semen, Eggs, and Embryos, while rejuvenating forage pastures creating a better ecosystem for conservation and forging Responsible Stewardship of the land.
ITS ALL ABOUT THE KUROGE-WASHU BREED (JAPANESE BLACK)
Our strategy of placing more emphasis on the genetic markers that carry the impressive genetic mutations (Delta 9 Desaturates), creating the highest Intramuscular Fat (IMF) content of all cattle breeds. We also focus on the genetic ability of our cattle to pass on such traits to their prodigy. This focus allows us to increase the individual price per head of cattle in our customers. After all, Without our cow calf operator customers we would not be able to sustain this business and who would not welcome a higher price per head on their herd.
While many Seedstock operations focus on breeding bulls with superior aesthetic appearance for easier sales, Strickland Wagyu focuses on the deeper genetic level to ascertain that bulls ability to pass on the higher levels of IMF, Lower melting point of fat, and the superior Health benefits of Wagyu beef (also referred to as "The World's Healthiest Beef").

We are actively working with the US Department of Veteran's Affairs Vocational Rehabilitation & Education Program as well as the Office of the Secretary Department of Public Outreach Veterans to Agriculture Program. We are constantly seeking partners for affiliation and creating cooperative missions to streamline our technology and data mining plan to eliminate operations waste.
