About Us
Farming organically since 1985, Dennis and Emily have USDA-certified organic beef, pork, chicken and eggs available, with lamb, duck, turkey and goose sometimes available. All animals are raised on pastures free of synthetic chemicals and supplemented with non-GMO organic hay and grains raised on the farm. On-farm sales of daily package meats and bulk meats (whole, half, quarter beef or pork) with prior arrangement. Vegetables and eggs are available at Common Ground (Bloomington) in season. Dennis also mixes and sells USDA-certified organic feed. They currently have more than 400 acres of pasture and cropland USDA-certified organic by the ICO. Their organic practices are a response to the growing concern over environmental issues, but they also embody a second ideal, the revitalization of small family farms.
